Riding My Bike to the Countryside
I rode my old bike again this morning. I left at 6:20, after watching a quite entertaining football match on TV, Real Zaragoza versus FC Barcelona. Thank God Barcelona won the game, so I got no more disappointment after watching Arsenal beaten in FA Cup last night. The weather was so cold when I left home, but unlike last mornings, it didn’t rain. I brought my breakfast in my "The Killers" bag and enough money to buy newspaper and mineral water. I planned to have my breakfast at the countryside, far from the city’s polluted air. Hmmm..
I took a different route from my last cycling session. I went to Candi Panggung Street and just rode west. I made a quick stop, just to buy newspaper and a bottle of mineral water, and I continued my journey. I met other people jogging and cycling. The further I rode, the fresher the air was. Then I passed through the border of Pendem Village. I saw beautiful blue mountains on my right and left. The were so many rice fields and the farmers working on them. While enjoying the scenery, I also looked for a good place to have my breakfast, and I found a couple nominees.
By 7:10 I arrived at the crossroad of Arhanud (Artillery Air Defence Corps), and then I turned back east. Ten minutes later I saw one of the nominees of my breakfast place, and I found it a perfect spot. There was a wide open space there. From there I could see the mountains and the other green view in kilometres away. I took some photographs there. I took the pictures of the mountains, the rice fields, my bike and me. Then I enjoyed my breakfast. It tasted so much more delicious than usual, although the menu was just the same. I think it was because of the great atmosphere on that site. Yummy!
Fully loaded, I rode back home then. It needed only 20 minutes to get home, so much less than I needed to get to the countryside. Of course so, ‘cause it was descending road that I rode on. Praise God I arrived at home safely at 8:15. I think should have left earlier next time, so I would have more time to enjoy the fresh air, far away from the crowd of the city. Can’t wait for the next ride!
Here are some pictures I took on the spot, just click on them to see the larger size:

Thanks, Alit..
Unfortunately I had limited time on Sunday morning.
I had to get home before 8 AM, so it would be better for me if I went alone

It seems interesting. If only I have a bike, I would do the same thing. Sometimes I am riding alone and enjoyed it too.. but with my motorcycle.. it was noisy..I cannot feel the silent of nature although I was at near rice field.. huhu

Yes, BayuBayu, you should consider buying a bicycle.. It doesn’t have to be an expensive/new one. Buy a cheap old bike, clean it up, give it a little modification, and it would be a great company for your ride!
