It’s been a long time since I wrote in this blog regularly, due to many things. Now I present you my new blog, titled Islam Kita Semua. Its address is islamkitasemua.wordpress.com. Unlike this blog, my new blog ’speaks’ Indonesian. It mostly contains many articles from various sources. Shortly, just read and leave comments. Hope you enjoy it.. ;)

Me and Cak kartolo

Not an alcoholic, neither a workaholic. Not only a Nidjiholic, but I’m also a Kartoloholic! :D Yes, that’s a term mentioned by Galih, a friend of mine, right after watching Kartolo CS (Kartolo and Friends) last Saturday night, live at Engineering Faculty, University of Brawijaya, to define a person "addicted" to watch or listen to Kartolo’s play, just like each of us emoticon. Only one word can describe how their performance was: HILARIOUS!! emoticon

Last Thursday (October 16th, 2008) I went to Surabaya, attending the ITS (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember) Job Fair 2008, along with Fanny A.K.A. Chebby, Muhlis A.K.A. Ucit, and Dimas A.K.A. Samid. We went by Fanny’s car. All of us wanted to use this opportunity to apply some available positions in some promising companies. It was only me who hadn’t been graduated yet (d’oh!).

After having some annoying (but full of experiences emoticon) incidents with the car, we arrived at the site about 12 pm. We changed our shirts, washed our faces, then we entered the "Graha ITS" building to do some surveys first, before entering aour applications. I met some friends there, such as Rahmad, Intan, Edy, Adit, Zaini, Huri, Ariza, Habibi, and more. Inside the building, we searched for any electric socket to plug in the laptop and printer that we brought from home, as we hadn’t printed our application letters yet emoticon.

Since we’re not allowed to plug inside the building, we placed our laptop, printer, and other equipments right in front of the building, under the stairs. So not only the companies had their own booths inside the building, we –the job seekers– also had our own "booth" :D , as depicted in the pictures below, taken with Nokia 3230:

That question might come out of your thoughts when you read this blog lately. It is true that my last three posts are always related to football events, particularly about my favorite teams. It is not because I intend to change this blog into a football blog though! emoticon It’s just that those topics recently gave me idea to write something..

I’m currently planning to write about something else actually, but I think it’s just not the right time yet. Now I’m concentrating in doing my main duty as a student.. I hope I can do my best!

My old bikeI rode my old bike again this morning. I left at 6:20, after watching a quite entertaining football match on TV, Real Zaragoza versus FC Barcelona. Thank God Barcelona won the game, so I got no more disappointment after watching Arsenal beaten in FA Cup last night. The weather was so cold when I left home, but unlike last mornings, it didn’t rain. I brought my breakfast in my "The Killers" bag and enough money to buy newspaper and mineral water. I planned to have my breakfast at the countryside, far from the city’s polluted air. Hmmm.. emoticon [ Click here to read more.. ]

TechnologyLast Friday, me and my classmates had to give a short speech of given topics, in order to complete the current level of our English course. Thanks to Veeani for the assistance Big Grin. Here was my speech, more or less:

Assalaamu ‘alaikum wa rohmatullaah wa barokaatuh.

Good evening. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to honorable Mr. Johny. In this occasion I would like to extend my topic, it is about The Impact of Technology.

Everyday we cannot live without technology. We wake up in the morning, we take a bath, we have breakfast, we do our daily activities, all are affected by something called technology. [ Click here to read more.. ]

Wish us a happy and successful new year! emoticon
These are my main resolutions for this new year:

  • Be more religious and get closer to God
  • Work harder on my final project
  • Have a better time management
I hope this new year would be much better than years before, and I hope I wouldn’t do the same mistakes I’ve done last years. There are still some more detailed resolutions actually, but I think I’ll just keep it for myself.. Hehehe.. emoticon
What about your new year’s resolutions? emoticon Just write them down in the comments section..
